Dance team is for students who are committed to a program that will offer more than recreational dance training. Primary students (5-7 Years Old) are required to take at minimum two classes per week, which must include one ballet class. Junior (8-11 Years Old) and Senior (12-15 Years Old) Dance Team students are required to take three or more classes per week. One class must be a ballet class. Students involved in dance team will have a great time while learning more advanced skills and routines that wouldn't normally be taught in a recreational program. Students will go to festivals where they will compete against other studios. These festivals are a great way to gain performance experience. We only will participate in festivals that are positive, and encourage our students towards achieving their goals. Students will also be involved in public displays throughout Bowen and the Lower Mainland. Since students have to take ballet they are given the choice whether to take their RAD Ballet exam or not. Exams are not mandatory. This program not only will develop strong physical dance skills, it will also foster the development of strong bonds and teamwork between dance team members. Current students that are hard working and possess the skills necessary to be successful in this program will be invited to join. All other children wishing to be a part of this program and who are not current students must audition in the first week of September.

In order to reserve your spot in September '05, you must pay the $20 deposit. Post dated cheques are required by September 11th, 2005.
